Celebrating Father’s Day is a great way to honor all the important father figures in our lives, including dads, step-dads, grandfathers and uncles. Why not mark the occasion with a Father’s Day party? Games, party food and all the rest can really make the day enjoyable.
“Blindfold Race” Father’s Day Party Game
This Father’s Day party game is heaps of fun, but requires good communication and team-work skills! Prior to the game, set up an area for the race with several obstacles to go under, over and around (eg chairs, small tables, planks etc) and hide a small prize for each team in the area. Each child pairs up with their father/grandfather/etc and places a blindfold on them. Each child must find a prize, and give their father or grandfather verbal directions on how to negotiate the obstacles and get to the prize. The first pair to find their prize is the winner.
“Shaving Race” Father’s Day Party Game
This Father’s Day party game is potentially messy (meaning it should be played outdoors if possible) but loads of fun. Children pair up with their father or grandfather, and are each given a can of whipped cream (to be used as “shaving cream”) and a popsicle stick. Fathers sit down, and each child has to spray their father’s lower face with “shaving cream” and scrape it off with their popsicle stick. The first child to completely “shave” their father’s face is the winner.
Father's Day party games are a fun way to have a celebration honoring Dad!
