On Father's Day (and all year round!), most of us remember our Dad (and uncles, grandfathers and others) being a loving presence who guided and nurtured us. How do you reward and return all this love and support? You can’t. But there are little things you can do to show you care, which is what Father’s Day is all about. Why not throw a Father’s Day party for the important men in your life?
Invite friends and family, and have the kids give speeches and related anecdotes about their dads. Father's day presents (both home-made and bought), can then be handed out to the dads. Playing party games is also a great way to bond and have fun, especially if the kids have to compete against the dads! From relay races and football tossing to obstacle courses and ball games, there are plenty of simple ideas that will work really well.
Food-wise, prepare things ahead of time if you can, so that everyone is able to enjoy themselves at the party. Why not get your kids to help prepare the food as well? Kids usually love cooking, and doing it for Dad will make it an even more special and enjoyable Father's day.
